Windmill Hill Residents' Association and Environmental Forum
Windmill Hill Residents’ Association meets on the fourth Monday of the month (with the exception of Bank Holidays)
Time: 6:00 pm onwards
At: Priory View Community House, 231—233 Lockgate West, Windmill Hill
Our objective is to maintain and improve the lives of Residents of Windmill Hill through regeneration, environmental improvements and community improvements. The Association also work in partnership with the landlord Liverpool Housing Trust to achieve a decent housing standard.
Windmill Hill Residents’ Association was in existence prior to Liverpool Housing Trust gaining control of the estate. A constitution was adopted in 1991 and amended in 1996. Our strength lies with the people who make up the Association.
Windmill Hill Residents’ Association is the sole organisers of the Community Fun Day held each year.
The Residents’ Association were instrumental in getting funding for the Windmill Hill Neighbourhood Wardens scheme and help steer the service.
Can you give some time to the challenges ahead?
The Association is looking for tenants to join to assist with the work needed to regenerate our estate. We have lost the senior school and recreation centre. We have a real lack of community facilities and Doctors no longer attend the Windmill Hill Surgery. If you join the association we will have a stronger voice to challenge these changes and challenge the landlord for better services, repairs and planned maintenance.
