Software Licensing
Software is an essential part of any IT installation. The most common requests from our customers are for:
- Microsoft Office
- Antivirus software
- AntiSpam software
- Adobe Photoshop Elements
- Windows Server plus Client Access Licenses
The factors that determine what type of licensing scheme (and therefore cost) is appropriate for any purchase are:
- The type of organisation.
- Whether your organistion belongs to NCVO or CHEST.
- The number of copies of the software required.
- Whether there is a long term commitment to maintaining the latest version of the software.
We will discuss all of these factors with you and recommend the most appropriate licensing scheme.
Sometimes "free" software such as AVG Free Edition and OpenOffice is recommended for small numbers of installations where budget is an issue and longer-term management of software is not important.
Once your requirements have been clarified we will provide you with a detailed quotation covering the whole job. When we have received your approval we will then:
- order the appropriate software license;
- install the software on the computers;
- test and demonstrate the new software while onsite;
- update our technical documentation about your computer installations;
- add any maintenance renewal dates to our renewals database.
We take care of all parts of process for you, leaving you to enjoy your new software.
Cost: Telematics installation charges vary according to number of installations to be carried out. The cost will be based on time required to carry our the job, charged at our standard hourly rates.
