Chocolate Crumb Cake Recipe

Here's the recipe for the lovely Chocolate Crumb Cake that Nick's wife, Lynn, usually makes for the Summer Drinks Party.

  • 11 oz digestive biscuits
  • 11 oz cooking chocolate
  • 4½ oz margarine
  • 2 tablespoons golden syrup
  • 2 dessertspoons of cocoa powder
  • 1 dessertspoon of sugar
  1. Crush the digestive biscuits in a bag with a rolling pin.
  2. Melt the other ingredients (except the chocolate) in a pan.
  3. Mix the biscuit crumbs in the pan.
  4. Press down the mixture into a large baking tray using the back of a spoon or spatula.
  5. Melt the chocolate and spread over the top of the mixture.

Chocolate Crumb Cake

Makes about 35 squares and they taste delicious!
