Chocolate Crumb Cake Recipe
Here's the recipe for the lovely Chocolate Crumb Cake that Nick's wife, Lynn, usually makes for the Summer Drinks Party.
- 11 oz digestive biscuits
- 11 oz cooking chocolate
- 4½ oz margarine
- 2 tablespoons golden syrup
- 2 dessertspoons of cocoa powder
- 1 dessertspoon of sugar
- Crush the digestive biscuits in a bag with a rolling pin.
- Melt the other ingredients (except the chocolate) in a pan.
- Mix the biscuit crumbs in the pan.
- Press down the mixture into a large baking tray using the back of a spoon or spatula.
- Melt the chocolate and spread over the top of the mixture.

Makes about 35 squares and they taste delicious!
