Getting Started Students Awarded Certificates
Fourteen students who started the latest "Getting Started on the Computer" course in September completed their course today, Friday 19 October 2007. It was the largest group ever to complete the course.
"We normally only have room for 12 students on any of our courses at any one time," said Nick Walton, Telematics Project Manager and tutor. "But we had such strong demand from people wanting to do 'Getting Started on the Computer' this September that we decided to squeeze in two extra computers. Fourteen is the largest class we have ever had at the Telematics Centre!"
Sophia Manners-Price from Rocksavage Power Company presented each of the students with their certificate of achievement. The students who received their certificate (seen here with Sophia Manners-Price centre) were:
- Edith Ashley
- Snowy Ashley
- Malcolm Eyton
- Bruce
- Derek Hough
- Jenny Lunt
- Bridie Hannah
- Gwen Smith
- Frank Smith
- Pat Sanders
- Janet Harrison
- Dawn Steele
- Geoff Webster
- Norman Winder
"Well done and Congratulations to all the students who completed the
Getting Started on the Computer Course," said Spohia Manners-Price. "It was great to meet the Students again and to hear about how much they had achieved during the 6 week course; it was a pleasure to present them with their certificates."
